What Should You Expect During a Comprehensive Check-up?

• When you schedule a comprehensive check-up, we’ll need access to your complete medical history. It is essential to share medical conditions such as diabetes, heart murmur, and pregnancy. Also, keep your dental professional apprised of the medications you're taking, even those you purchase over the counter.
• Once we have looked through your medical history and determined it is safe to go ahead, we will perform a comprehensive dental examination of your mouth, teeth, and gum. We'll look for signs of decay, gum disease or any other oral health concerns.
• Dental diagnosis often requires X-rays, which help the dental professional identify issues related to your jawbone, tooth roots, impacted teeth such as wisdom teeth, or decay between your teeth. Rest assured, the radiation from the X-ray is nothing you wouldn't receive from a weekend spent watching TV. However, since your health is our utmost concern, we provide a lead apron if indicated, that you can wear while the X-rays are being taken.
