Dental Veneers

  • Dental Veneers, also known as porcelain veneers, are thin pieces of porcelain cemented over the front of your teeth to improve their shape, size, length, or colour. Dental veneers can also be made from resin and are known as Resin veneers.
  • Porcelain veneers have a longer life expectancy and can last as long as 20 years. In comparison, Resin veneers last no longer than 8 years on average. With porcelain veneers, the patients also get better colour stability and high stain resistance.

What is the process of getting Dental Veneers?

In the case of resin veneers, our dentist will first reshape the tooth for the veneers. The composite resin will be then fitted to your teeth using a special light that hardens the material. Post that, the dentist will smooth the veneers to make them resemble the shape of your natural tooth. This can usually be done in one sitting.

In contrast, getting porcelain veneers requires at least 3 appointments.

  1. First, we'll take teeth impression and send it to the laboratory.
  2. At the laboratory, they'll use the teeth impression to create the shape of your veneers.
  3. Once we receive it back from the laboratory, we ensure they fit perfectly and then bond the veneers to the teeth.

Who Should Get Dental Veneers?

  • People with large tooth gaps.
  • People with chipped teeth or broken teeth.
